When I was young, I admired my mother’s jewelry collection and her taste for these details. She never went out without her rose gold necklace and her sapphire ring. Women are expected to receive fine jewelry as gifts but she said there was no hard rule about buying jewelry with her own money. Every woman deserves a statement necklace to light up her day.

In modern days, we are proud of being kind to ourselves. Fine jewelry has become a part of my journey too. It is more than an expensive birthday gift, a token of love or a good investment. To me, it is a celebration of femininity, passion and my everyday life.

I was invited by Jewelers of America to select a few pieces of fine jewelry and share my story. Who doesn’t love to have such an opportunity to shop for something sparkly?

At one of the jewelry stores, the jewelry consultants asked about my personal style, my work and what I need. I was overwhelmed when I saw so many beautifully crafted artful jewelry pieces but I knew that I would need a nice necklace. Considering that I am a social media influencer, they recommended a few uniquely trendy yellow gold necklaces and showed me their newest styles with bold colors and silhouettes. After trying some of these selects, I found this beautiful emerald choker necklace and a pair of yellow gold drop earrings to complete the look. These pieces looked great for my everyday wear and upscale fashion outfits.

My mother passed a few years ago and her necklaces, earrings and rings lasted. When I put a piece of fine jewelry on my own neck, it reminded me of her grace, her value and her inspiration. The spirit of an independent woman passed to the next generation. A piece of jewelry is a shining symbol of a woman’s power – her inner strength beyond measure. I wear them every day to inspire myself and always remember to be elegant and impressive in every moment of life.
